Statement of FaithThere is only one living and eternal God existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He is perfect in holiness, almighty in power, righteous in justice, and abounding in love. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, holy and inspired by God, of supreme and final authority for faith and practice. God created all things in heaven and on earth and in Him all things hold together. God created human beings to have fellowship with Him, but we defied God by sinfully following our own evil desires and the temptations of Satan. Our sin has brought sickness, corruption, wickedness and death to not only to human beings but also to all of creation. As a result, every person needs God’s saving grace. God the Father sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine, who was born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life. God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us so that His death on the cross might provide for our redemption. Christ rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father in the place of honor and power, and has a present ministry of intercession for us. Salvation comes only by faith in Jesus Christ, not by human effort. We are saved by trusting in God’s redemption provided by the death and resurrection of Christ and must be received personally by turning away from sin and toward God. The Father and the Son makes their home in the hearts of believers. The Holy Spirit indwells believers and guides them into all truth. The Holy Spirit equips each believer with gifts to be used as instruments to dispense God's grace to the Church and to bless the nations. We look forward to Christ's return in power and glory. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty--the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come. To God be the glory and the power and the honor forever and ever. Amen! May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. |
