Organize Groups HierarchicallyGroups can be organized hierarchically to allow you to do group searches in a way that makes sense. For example, you could categorize small groups according to neighborhoods or regions of a city. In doing so, you could generate mailing labels for all active small group attendees in a certain neighborhood. Group RecordYou can create unlimited groups. A person can have memberships in unlimited groups. You could send emails to members of a group. Groups can be set to be publicized in a website listing of groups and even publish unlimited web pages for each group. These pages could contain static content or dynamically publish current events, announcements, news articles or photos from the group's store of information. MembersEach person may have as many group memberships as necessary. From the member listing of every group, you can print call lists, labels and mail merged letters. Certain group members may be given special access to use the group functions of Ascribe for their group only, without access to any other Ascribe functions. Send personalized emails to all the members of your group. If you have organized group hierarchically, you may also send email to all the members in a branch of groups. LettersSet up template for letters which you wish to send to your group. Then generate mail merges from the group member listing. To DoGroup leaders can assign to do items to members in the group. When the member logs into Ascribe, he/she will see the to do item listed on their Ascribe home page. DiscipleshipSetup discipleship goals specific to each ministry group. These could be used for training purposes (e.g., equipping courses for small group leaders, training for the sound team, etc.). NotesGroup leaders can use this function to maintain a historical record of notes for their group. Mini WebsiteGroups can administer their own mini website using the group module, complete with unlimited web pages, slideshows of photos on their group home page, calendar, announcements, and even custom forms. A group home page name can be selected to create an easy to publicize home page address such as http://www.name-of-your-church.com/youth_ministry.html. EventsEnter group events for a group which can appear in the general church calendar and the group's mini-website event calendar. Schedule the dates for the period of time when you wish the event to be publicized. AnnouncementsAnnouncements managed from within a group can appear in the announcements listing for the church in general or in the group's mini-website. News FeedsNew feeds are a collection of dated news articles. You can set up news feeds to serve a blogs or to publish feature stories about your ministry. FormsCustom forms can be published in the group's mini website. Ascribe will automatically set up a contact form for publicized groups. Web site visitors can fill out the form which will save the form submission and notify an appropriate person by email who should follow up with the form submittor. |
