But He displayed the full measure of His love by sending His Son Jesus Christ to lay down His life for people (1 John 3:16). So we ought also to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. The Ascribe software was written to help churches do just that. Ascribe helps you love people because it allows you to keep accurate, up-to-date records for the people in your church. You may be asking, "Why would this help me to love people?" Or you might be thinking, "How could something so tiresomely technical as database help me to love anyone?"
People ListingContains a search box for searching for persons and links to print mailing labels or mail merged letters for the currently listed persons. Print mailing labels or name tagsEasily print mailing labels from any listing of persons or person search results. Select from a variety of standard Avery label settings or configure your own custom labels. Use this system to print name tags, too. Person RecordView person record complete with photo, contact information, family relationships, basic demographic data, spiritual history and contact history. Easy to use form to edit person recordsPerson edit form contains helpful tools such as zip code search tool and dynamic calendar date picker tool. Search for person recordsSearch for person based on multiple search criteria. Searches can be saved to be run again later by bookmarking the search results by using the "Favorites" link at the top of the page. Search results may also be exported to name tags, mail merged letters, spreadsheet programs and to email. BrowseOne of Ascribe's most innovative features is the Browse function. Use the browse function to browse through the person database according to fields such as Name, Address, Birthdate, Member Status among others. Depending on the field that you choose to browse by, Ascribe will alter the way you are allowed to browse through the database. If you choose to browse by Name, Ascribe will allow you to browse alphabetically so that you can rapidly locate a listing of persons with last names starting from a certain letter of the alphabet. (No need to page through the entire database just to get to the "W"s.) If you browse by Address, you can drill down from country, to state, to city to get a listing of all persons from a certain city. When browsing by Birthdate, Ascribe lets you browse by day, month, quarter and year. When browsing by Member Status, Ascribe will generate a pie chart with statistics. Export ToolPrint person records or export them to a spreadsheet program or your handheld device (in the vCard format). Text format export files may be reimported into Ascribe using the import tool. Import ToolImport persons into Ascribe by uploading a text file containing person records. Text files can be exported from most database programs and all spreadsheet programs. If the text file contains valid Ascribe Member ID numbers, file contents can be used to update existing records. Person imports can be configured to also assign group memberships to all the people imported.
